Christine Catherine is
a country artist beyond her years with the instinct to give the right
touch to the delivery of a song. Her voice is sensuous, soulful and
sincere, with blues and R&B influences. At just 18 years of age,
she has an endearing nature, which is casual, genuine, friendly and
fun. All of those attributes along with her talent and professional
attitude give her a definite niche in the music business.
Twice at ages 14 and 15 years old Christine won the nationally recognized
country showdown talent contest with the Twin Cities radio station
K102 and again with KDJS. This contest leads to a televised event
at the Grand Ole Opry and has been the beginning for artists such
as: Garth Brooks, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, and many
others.
One of her greatest experiences was performing with Sheila Raye Charles,
daughter of the late and legendary blues icon, Ray Charles, at the
event A Time to Honor.
Christine Catherine has gained respect from many in the Nashville
music industry. She has performed in many shows with Tre Twitty, and
also opened for Michael and Tre Twitty in the tribute show to their
father and grandfather called, The Memories of Conway.
Other performances with Billy Walker and Leona Williams at venues
such as: Nashville Night Life Theater, Nashville Palace, Tootsies,
Legends Corner, Roberts Western World and The Stage. Christine has
worked with and recorded with the finest Nashville musicians and well
respected music industry people: Mike Schrimpf producer (was keyboard
player for Conway Twitty for 15 years), John Hughey (was steel guitar
player for Conway and as a session musician with Shania Twain). Writers:
Joe Leaman (writer of the 70s hit Queen of the Silver
Dollar, which is now a Broadway play). Brittany Allyn (back
up vocalist for Lorrie Morgan).
Christine is currently writing material for her debut album, while
continuing with her music education and still doing what she loves
best, performing. |
